On the night of 13/07/06, some unknown culprits gained entry into Kotekere Sri. Gopalkrishna Temple, Barkur by break opening the door lock and committed theft of Gold & Silver ornaments of god and coins, Total worth Rs. 22,000/-. In this connection a theft case in Brahmavara PS has been registered and investigation is under process.
