Gambling Raid: Thirteen Arrested, Rs-23,130 Seized.

On the night of 17-06-2007 a Police team consisting Hebri PSI Mr. Ramchandra Naik and other Police staff have raided a gambling den at Subhash bar, Hebri and arrested 13 persons who were indulging in gambling activity in the night at around 21:15 hrs. The police have seized Rs 23,130/ cash and playing cards. Police team arrested following persons who were indulging in gambling avtivities:
1) Satishchandra @ Pappu Hegde.(32) S/o Sadhu Hegde Mudradi.
2) Santhosh Shetty (31) S/o Ellappa Shetty Sitanadhi Nadpal Village.
3) Suresh Shetty (40) S/o Jaganantha Shetty Haikady,Kundapura
4) Mahesh Shetty (28) S/o Raghuram Shetty Kambettu, Kuchoor Hebri.
5) Gunakar Shetty (37) S/o Muthayya Shetty Uppinakote,Kundapura
6) Prabhakara Shetty (38) S/o Muddu Shetty, Muttlapady Hebri.
7) Sudhakara Shetty (65) S/o Raghunath Shetty, Sitanadhi Hebri.
8) Sundaresh @ Doddanna Shetty (40) S/o Bhujanga Shetty, Kuchoor Hebri.
9) Shankar Shetty (37) S/0 Vittal Shetty Sitanadhi, Hebri.
10) Suresh Shetty (36) S/o Govinda Shetty Gulibettu Hebri.
11) Jeevan Ballal (40) S/o Balakrishna Shetty Hebri Beedu. Hebri
12) Ramesh Shetty (38) S/o Vasudeva Shetty Sitanadhi Hebri.

In this connection, a case has been registered against the arrested persons at Hebri PS U/s 87 of the Karnataka Police Act.
