On 25/05/2007, at 1630 Hrs in a road mishap between bus bearing registration No. KA 20 A 7967 and a motor cycle bearing registration No. KA 20 Q 2277, at Karavali juncton, NH 17, Udupi, Sri Sankappa Salian, the pillion rider of the motor cycle got grevious injuries and Sri Vijay, the rider of the motor cycle got minor injuries. While undergoing treatment at KMC, Hospital, Manipal, Sri Sankappa succumbed to the injuries. A case has been registered against the bus driver in Udupi Town PS and the case is under investigation.
