Illegal processed charas along with accused arrested at Udupi

On 26/05/2007 at 10:00 Hrs on credible information, Sri C.E. Thimmaiah, PI, DCIB and Taluk Magistrate, Udupi Taluk along with DCIB staff raided near Sri Ramakrishna Lodge, Udupi where they found two persons namely Srikara S/o Soorappa, Shreelatha Nilaya, Padavu, Shirva, Udupi Taluk and Aravinda S/o Umanatha, Bhagirathi compound, Ambagilu, Udupi were trying to sell “Charas” to the public. By arresting them seized “Charas” of Rs. 80,000/- and motorbike bearing registration No. KA 20 Q 1439 which they used to commit the offence. A case has been registered against them under NDPS act at Udupi Town PS and the case is under investigation.
