On 16/02/07 at 15 hrs, PSI Hiriyadks Sri. Mahesh Prasad and his staff while on rounds at Onthibettu bus stand, 4 persons were picked up, found moving in a suspicious manner. On subsequent interrogation, they confessed to having committed a theft at a house and some shops in Hiriyadka PS limits. All 4 accused namely 1) Thippesha of Shikaripura, 2) Ragu@ Raghavedra @ Shivajiappa of Thiluvalli, 3) Sharanappa @ Amarapura of Gangavathi and 4) Eresh Dandinath of Badami were arrested and police recovered Gold and Silver ornaments worth Rs. 51,000/- from various places they had disposed them off.
