On 07/11/2006 some unknown culprits committed theft of 20 Bundle (120 mtrs) of Telephone copper cable which belongs to BSNL, at Durga Village, Malebettu, Karkala of worth Rs. 5,760/-. In this connection a theft case has been registered on the complaint of Sri. Vishnu Sharma Jr. Telecom Officer Karkala in Karkala Rural PS and investigation is on to trace the culprits.
