On 15/09/06 at 1245 Hrs, one Dr. Sudesh Kumar, Kadabettu, Udupi lodged a complaint to Udupi Town police to the effect that, one male unidentified dead body aged about 50 years was found floating in the well of his farm. In this regard a unnatural death case was registered in Udupi Town PS UDR No. 30/06 U/s 174 Cr. P.C. The description of the dead body is as under:
Name and address : Not Known
Age : About 50 Yrs
Dress : Naked body and decomposed
Identification mark : Golden ring in the left index finger
