Nepal student drowned at Kaup

On 24/09/06 at 16:00 hrs, a group of Manipal MIT students comprising of Twenty members came to Kaup Beach for spending their Sunday vacation. Some of the students started swimming. Unfortunately a big tide appeared & taken away four students along with it. Consequently all were rescued by local people. But out of four students one Mr. Ayush Malla (22) from Katmandu, Nepal studying in final year Civil Engineering at MIT was unconscious and died on the way to hospital. The rest are out of danger. In this connection UDR case has been registered at Kaup police station and the case is under investigation.
