On 10/04/2008, on credible information Sri. Girish S., Dy.S.P. Karkal, Sri. N.C. Ganesh PSI Shirva and his staff made a raid at Padoor Village in Suresh Shetty quarry and found the accused Suresh Shetty and others running a quarry without license and found using explosives without permit. Two Tractors containing compressor, Drilling machine and 30 Detonators was seized from the spot. Accused namely 1) Suresh Shetty, S/o. Late Raju V Shetty, R/o. Ayodhya, Kaup Padu Village, 2) Rohith Shetty S/o. Mithradas Shetty, R/o. Annavara, Yermal Bada, 3) Karunakar Shetty S/o. Kitta Shetty R/o Andamarguttu, Padoor Village, 4) Kumar S/o. Laxmana R/o. Near Padoor Suresh Shetty quarry, Padoor Village, 5) Johnson S/o. Hasal Soans R/o. Subasnagar, Kurkal Village and 6) Velu S/o. Subbayya R/o. Pakirnakatte, Mallar Village were arrested. In this connection a case has been registered in Shirva PS under Explosive Act.
