On 02nd Jan 2008 at 19:30 hrs. near LaxmindraNagar, Shivalli, Manipal, the rider of a motor cycle bearing registration numbered KA 20 K 2043, dashed against a padestrain named Smt. Sumathi aged about 47 years of Vibudapriya nagar. As a result pedestrian received grievous injury and succumbed to his injuries on the way to the KMC Hospital. In this connection a case has been registered against the rash and negligent rider of the motor cycle in manipal PS and investigation is on.
