Murder case detected by Karkala Rural Police

On 04/04/07 at 15:30 hrs an Unidentified male dead body was found near Symon Lobo`s farm, Perpale, Nitte, karkala. As no injuries were evident on the body it was not sure if it were a suicidal or homicidal death. Nevertheless as the body was found in a naked form, suspecting some foul play a case was registered under Sec 174 (c ) of CrPC and investigation was being carried out by the Karkala rural police. During the investigation the police enquired with a local contacter regarding the identity of the body. The contacter revealed that it could be the body of Madhu, a labourer of that area. On picking up the step-son Kumara, of the labourer and interrogating him, it was found that it was infact a murder which was committed so cleverly by Chandra, Kumara and Manja under the directions Magamma the wife of the deseased. The identity of the deceased was confirmed to be, Madhu aged about 40-45. It is now learnt that the deseased suspected his wife of having an illicit relationship with one Chandra and he was known to be harrasing her often on this count. Unable to bear with the torture, Mangamma called upon Chandra and asked him to get rid of her husband Madhu. Chandra along with another two, Kumara and Manja took Madhu to a nearby forested area on the pretext of going to the Nadalike-Jathra and committed the murder with the help of a stone. Though there were no external injuries, Post-mortem examination has reavealed internal injuries in the skull. In this regard a case of Murder has been registered by Karkala Rural Police in Cr. No. 58/2006 U/ s 302, 201,109 R/w 34 IPC and investigation is on. All the three accused have been arrested and remanded to judicial custody.
