On 13/03/07 at 1050 Hrs, near Alankar bus stop, K.M. Marg, infront of TMC, Udupi an aged pedestrian named as Sri Mohandas Pai was fatally knocked down after he was hitted by a motor cycle rider Sachin Shet, bearing registration No. KA 20 E 3688. In this regard a case has been registered by Udupi Town police on the complaint of Sri Narahari Pai, R/o "Vijjalitha", Vadhiraja cross road, Udupi, the son of the victim.
