On the night of 06/12/2006, some unknown culprits gained entry into the jewellery shop of one Harish Acharya, located at Idu cross, Idu village, Karkala Talulk, by break open the door lock and committed theft of gold ornaments worth Rs. 20,000/-. In this connection a theft case has been registered on the complaint of Harish Acharya in Karkala Rural PS Cr. No. 134/06 U/s. 457, 380 IPC and investigation is on to trace the culprits.
