Today on 05/10/2006 at about 17:00 Hrs, PSI Kaup intercepted a tempo illegally transporting four buffalos towards Mangalore from Kota. The buffalos were rescued and the vehicles were seized. A case in Kaup P.S Cr No 152/06 U/s 8 & 9 of Karnataka prevention of cow slaughter act 1964, 11(1), (a) of Animal Sacrifice Act 1960. 125, 177 IMV Act and Rule 74 K.M.V. Act has been registered. Three occupants of the vehicle namely 1) Sanjeeva Devadiga (45) S/o Rama Devadiga R/o Devsadabettu, Manoor, Kota 2) Shankar Shetty (49) S/o. Muthyya Shetty R/o Manoor, Kota, Hoikura, Udupi and 3) Mohandas (49)S/o Sankappa Bhanadri R/o Giliyoor village, Gulladi cross, Kota were arrested.
In another incident today at about 14:30 Hrs, PSI Manipal intercepted a tempo illegally transporting cows towards Palligudde, Katpady from Shivalli. There were 3 cows being transported. The cows were rescued and the vehicles were seized. A case under Manipal P.S Cr No 151/06 U/s 8 & 11 of Karnataka prevention of cow slaughter act 1964 has been registered. Two occupants of the vehicle namely 1) Samuel Salens S/o Ethejar Salense R/o 13-149, Udayavara, udupi and 2) Hareesh S/o. Bommayya, Kuthpady, Katpady, Udupi were arrested.

Mangalore & Udupi Violence! They hate burgers and coke,
The international flight had landed just a couple of days earlier and already made three successful trips. People are expecting Mangalore & Udupi to boom. Only things that boomed were the rounds of tear-gas lobbed in some places as also the rounds of fire aimed in the air to scare the mobs.
Many people are planning to invest in Mangalore...but in this situation, will they be ready?
Dear Sir, BJP does not want Mangalore to grow they do not want multi national companies to invest here more of all they hate burgers and coke. Lets find out the root cause of this problem. This is hate between communities incited by DK districts some popular news print mediums by publishing each and every news coverage of cattle running or slaughter house. If this continues the same way unless the Govt finds a solution for the people who eats what? Moreover, provide them with imported meat or supply from other states instead local slaughter would be a subsidized commodity in lieu with WTO's free trade protocol.
