On the night of 27/28-09-06, some unknown culprits gained entry into the Sri. Shankardeva Temple located at Shivapura of Shivapura Village, Karkala, break opened the Votive box & committed a theft of currency notes of about Rs. 6,000/- to Rs. 7,000/-. In this connection a theft case has been registered in Hebri P.S. Cr.No:85/06, U/s 457, 380 IPC. On the complaint of Sri S. Mahabaleshwar Adiga Priest of Sri Shankardeva Temple, Shivapura of Shivapura Village, Karkala, and investigation are on to trace the culprits.
