On 20/08/2006 in between 7:45 hrs. to 13:45 hrs., some unknown culprits gained entry into the house of Mr.Prakash Rao, "Mahalaxmi", Jois compound, Saralabettu, Udupi by breaking open the rear door and committed a theft of Gold ornaments worth Rs. 10,000/-which were kept in a Godrej Almirah in the bedroom. The district clues team was pressed into action for any clues regarding the offenders. In this connection a theft case has been registered in Manipal PS Cr. No. 132/06, U/s. 454, 380 IPC and investigation is on.
