On 15/07/06 at about 20:30 hrs the accused Sanjeeva Moolya resident of Ishwarnagar, Tenkanidiyoor village, Udupi came to his house after having consumed alcohol, and then abused and assaulted his wife Ammanni Moolya aged about 35 yrs causing grievous injuries. Immediately Ammanni’s brother shifted her to the govt. hospital Udupi for medical treatment. The medical officer after examining the injured declared her dead. In this connection a case of Murder has been registered in Malpe PS Cr. No. 64/06 U/s 302 IPC and the case is under investigation. The accused Sanjeeva Moolya has been arrested.
