Byndoor Dacoity case detected

The Kundapur Police headed by CPI Kundapur have cracked the Byndoor Dacoity case that was reported on 03-06-2006.

On 17th of june 2006 the Kundapur Police team on receiving credible information on the movement of a known vehicle lifter were waiting for his vehicle at Kumbashe on NH 17. When the said Indigo car approached the team, the car failed to respond to the police direction to stop. The team immediately pursued the car and when the inmates finally abandoned the car and tried to escape, all five inmates of the car were apprehended. On receiving no proper reply regarding their identity, the vehicle was checked thoroughly and one iron rod, one gas cutter and two gas cylinders were recovered from the vehicle. On conducting a personal search of the inmates, one gold chain and two gold bangles were recovered from one Mir Mohmmed. The suspects were then subjected to thorough interrogation when they confessed to committing the Byndoor Dacoity and also an attempt on the Kandloor VSSN Bank. The iterrogation also led to the recovery of two other stolen vehicles. The details of the accused and property recovered is given below;

Accused. 1. Mohmmad Mira, of Tippu Nagar ,Shimoga

2. Tanveer, of Sagar, Shimoga

3. Babu @ LTTE Babu of Sagar Shimoga

4. Shahil of Sagar, Shimoga

5. Iliyaas of Beluvaai, Mangalore

In addition another associate of the group who belongs to Kundapura H.Mohideen was also apprehended on information given by the accused.

Property recovered: 1. Indigo car ( KA01-MA-5591)

2. Maruthi 800

3. Maruthi Zen

4. One gold chain and two gold bangles worth Rs 50,000/-

5. One Iron Rod, one gas cutter, two gas cylinders.

A case has been taken up under Kundapur PS Cr No. 169/06, U/s 41 1(a) & (d) r/w Sec 102, 119 of CrPC and case is under investigation. The other associates of the gang and the remaining property of the dacoity are still to be recovered.

Further it is learnt that the main accused Mohmmed Mira, is involved in several cases of murder, dacoity, house breaking, violation of arms act, and hurt cases in Hosanagara, Soraba, Sagar, Shimoga, Manipal, Mulki, Surathkal and Karkala.
