On 25/07/08 at 20:30 Hrs, Mr. Mohammed Abeeb, S/o Abdul Sathar, Nayarkere, near Masjid, Udupi lodged a written complaint to Udupi Town police stating that one male dead body was floating in Nayarkere. On 23/07/2008 at 11:15 hrs. on NH-17 near yojana Nagara Byndoor the unknown driver of a Indica car, dashed against a padestrain named Anthony aged about 27 years, as result pedestrian received grevious hurt and succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital. In this connection a case has been registered in Byndoor PS. investigation is on to catch the Indica car and the driver.

On 23/07/2008 at 19:00 hrs. near Ajekar, Kombagudde, Marne village, the rider of the bus bearing registration numbered KA 20 B 2027, drove his vehicle rash and negligent manner and dashed against the cycle rider. As a result the cycle rider by name Shekar Poojary was succumed to his injuries on the way to the Hospital. In this connection a case has been registered in Karkala Rural PS and investigation is on.

Who was carrying iron roads & other equipments of some Telephone company in his M-80 motor cycle, which was stolen from some were near Muniyal and the material was handed over by his friends manjunatha & Mallikarjun. Police team arrested the accused person along with his M-80 Motorcycle, Arrested person produced before the Honorable court for further needful action.

Beggar died in a road traffic accident

Today at 09:30 hrs, near Laxmi Janardhan Temple, Yermal, NH-17, on the way of udupi to padubidri, the driver of a bus bearing registration numbered KA 20 B 1107, dashed against a pedestrian aged about 65 years, who is a beggar. As a result pedestrian received grievous hurt and succumbed to his injuries on the way to the Hospital. In this connection a case has been registered against the rash and negligent driver of the bus in Padubidri PS and investigation is on.

Rape case accused arrested by byndoor police

On 10/07/08, at Shiroor Melpete CPI Byndoor & his staff arrested Abdul Rasheed @ Rashid aged 26 years, son of Hajarath Sahab, residing of Siragodu, Herehalli, Chikka Basoor, Bayydagi, Haveri. Who was the main accused person of a rape case, which was reported early this week. Police team arrested the accused person along with his M-80 Motorcycle, which was used to commit the offence. Arrested person produced before the Honorable court for further needful action.

Chain snatcher caught by Byndoor Police

On 03/07/08 at 22:45 hrs the accused Raghu @ Raghavendra, R/o Katgeri, Uppunda village, along with another unknown person gained entry into Smt. Sushila’s house located at Hosamane, near Makki temple, Bijoor village and robbed gold chain worth Rs. 8,000/- and escaped from the place. On 04/07/08 Byndoor police registered a robbery case based on the complaint lodged by the victim. On credible information Byndoor police apprehended the accused Raghu @ Raghavendra and recovered the robbed chain. The accused was sentenced to judicial custody till 17/07/08.

On 03/07/08 at 00:30 hrs PI, DCIB and staff raided the spot near Koteshwara junction, Kundapura Taluk and arrested one Shivarama S/o Nandi Kulal R/o Markodu, Koteshwara and seized cash Rs.730/-. At the time of police party raid the accused person was collecting money for matka gambling. In this regard a case has been registered in Kundapura PS.
