Three killed in road traffic accident in Santhur, Padubidri

On 30/11/07 at 10:15 hrs near Santhur bus stop, Udupi taluk, the driver of a bus bearing registration No.KA 18 -9159 drove his bus in a rash and negligent manner and dashed to Tempo trax bearing registration No. KA - 19 7492. As a result the Tempo trax driver Sri.Vittal and other passenger’s by name Sri.Dinesh Amin and Nilaksha succumbed to the injuries on the spot and also other passenger’s of Tempo trax and bus are sustained some injuries. In this regard Padubidri Police registered a case and investigation is on.

Raid on Cassette shop at Brahmavara

On 27/11/2007 at 15:00 hrs on credible information PI, DCIB, Sri C.E.Thimayya and his staff made an raid to Sri Laxmi Narasimha cassette corner, Brahmavara, wherein the accused Vittala Padiyar was found selling duplicate CD`s of latest released movies. The accused person has been arrested along with 427 duplicate CD`s worth Rs. 15,000/-. In this connection a case has been registered in Brahmavara PS and investigation is under process.

On the night of 23/11/2007, the complainant parked his Bajaj Discover vehicle Bearing registration number KA 20 R 8723 near Sea View Apartments, Shivalli, village, Manipal, Some unknown culprits committed theft of his red colored motor cycle, valued Rs- 20,000/-, Chassis number of the vehicle is M020 S0X77 MAZ1 8252, engine number of the vehicle is DXE BMJ 18754. On 27/11/07 at 10:30 Hrs on creditable information PSI Hiriyadka, Sri Mahesh Prasad and his staff arrested one Shivaprasad Naika (19) S/o Sheena Naika, Kotnakatte, Bommarabettu village, and seized 6 Nokia Company Mobile sets, which are stolen from different parts of udupi district. As a result he got serious injuries and admitted to KMC hospital for treatment and succumbed in the hospital. On 27/11/07 at 04:00 hrs at Edamavina Hole, Kambadakone village, Kundapuru Taluk some unknown culprits break the slab and committed the theft of 90-meter length cable. Laptop recovered along with the thief at Manipal

On 13/11/07 in between 09:10 hrs to 10:00 hrs some unknown culprits gained entry to a room No. A 308, located at Nehru block, Manipal and committed theft of Laptop-1, Ipod-1 and Mobile phone-1 of Mr. Sonu Mehta. Manipal police registered a theft case in this regard and formed a team to trace out the case. On 01/11/2007 at 18:00 hrs, the Junior Engineer of Hosmer telephone exchange Sri. Krishnanda Adiga found 100 meters of feeder cable of BSNL was stolen from Hosmer Veterinary Hospital compound, and 350 meters of feeder cable was stolen from Gumethu & Kodeya locality, which was used for the purpose of connecting BSNL equipment.
